Waxman Strategies Announces Promotions of Key Team Members

Washington, D.C. – Waxman Strategies is thrilled to announce the promotion of several outstanding team members who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise in their respective fields. JaiFawn Hood has been promoted to the position of Senior Director of Operations, Adam Fischer has been promoted to the position of Vice President in our environment practice, and Evan Doomes to the position of Senior Associate in our health practice. 

JaiFawn Hood has been promoted to the position of Senior Director of Operations. In this role, JaiFawn will continue to work closely with the Operations team and leadership to enhance the firm’s operations systems and infrastructure, contributing to the success of the firm’s policy, advocacy, and communications work. 

“JaiFawn has consistently demonstrated an understanding of the organization’s intricacies from a system and process perspective. The quality of her work demonstrates her ability to efficiently orchestrate and optimize firm operations,” says Aliya Degeneste-Wheeler, Vice President of People and Culture. 

Prior to joining Waxman in September 2021, JaiFawn implemented her problem-solving prowess to succeed and sustain change with private, profit, and non-profit organizations on the state, national and international markets such as the American Association of University Women, State Employees Credit Union, Aveda, and Educare DC. The firm is excited to have her continue to lead in this expanded role. 

Adam Fischer has been promoted to the position of Vice President within our environment practice. Adam brings nearly a decade of experience in climate and clean energy issues to the firm and has dedicated his career to climate action. 

“Adam has stepped up and brought in his own business. He continues to perform work servicing and retaining key clients. He is on his way to becoming an independent performer within our practice,” says Michael Goo, Managing Director. 

Prior to joining Waxman in May 2022, Adam worked for the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce and supported the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) at Booz Allen Hamilton. 

Adam holds dual Master’s degrees in Environmental Management and Public Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tufts University. 

Evan Doomes has been promoted to the position of Senior Associate within the health practice. Evan has been a valuable asset to the firm and its clients, including Arnold Ventures Health Costs, the Public Health Institute, and AIDS United. 

“Evan’s collaborative problem-solving approach is thoughtful, measured, and diplomatic, all-in line with Waxman’s values. He is carving out the path forward to achieve strategies and deliverables on his clients while also engaging in efforts to provide advice to the practice overall, working collaboratively with others, on how to improve health team systems and processes to better the way we work,” says Claire McAndrew, Senior Vice President. 

Prior to joining Waxman in August 2022 as an Associate on the health team, Evan worked in the Bureau of Vital Records and Statistics at the Louisiana Department of Health. 

Evan earned his Bachelors of Science in Public health in 2020 from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he also studied Political Science and Spanish.
