POWERING OCEAN MONITORING AND MAPPING WITH INFINITE RENEWABLE ENERGY

Our oceans are our lifeblood, underpinning our climate, food and sustenance, medicine and vaccines, transport and commerce. And yet, 80 percent of our oceans remain unmapped, unexplored, and unobserved, in part due to lack of funding and adequate technologies. Seatrec is a pioneering blue tech startup working to power next-generation ocean monitoring sustainably, using infinite renewable energy harvested from naturally occurring temperature differentials in the ocean.

FOCUS

We leveraged our relationships and knowledge of the federal policy landscape to put Seatrec’s CEO in front of key government officials, helping to secure an introduction with a top agency decision-maker within the first week of our engagement. We then worked on an ongoing basis to continually raise Seatrec’s visibility through a combination of media relations, events, and stakeholder engagement.

IMPACT

• Introduced Seatrec’s technology and leadership team to key government decision makers, ultimately resulting in a pilot project with a critical government laboratory.
• Organized an oceans briefing event with relevant congressional offices featuring Seatrec’s CEO as a keynote speaker, helping to position Seatrec as an expert voice and thought leader to key government audiences.
• Secured and coordinated the production of a World Economic Forum video showcasing Seatrec’s technology, assisting with messaging, materials development, and PR to maximize media attention.
