Isabella Banks

Associate

Isabella is an Associate in the Environmental Policy Practice at Waxman Strategies, where she supports clients working on environmental justice and various clean energy initiatives. Her work focuses on federal policy.

Prior to joining Waxman Strategies, Isabella worked as an intern at the firm for seven months. In this position she spearheaded various research projects focusing on clean energy and legislation implementation. Prior to this, she interned for the Main Democratic Party working primarily on campaign strategy and voter outreach.

Isabella graduated from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and Environmental Studies. During her time at university Isabella participated in community mapping sessions mapping environmental degradation in DC its well as volunteered in local DC schools to teach sustainable urban gardening practices. In her free time, Isabella can be found enjoying the outdoors, finding new restaurants, or enjoying a good farmers market.

  • Implemented analysis of Congressional events and legislation tracking to provide clients with a deeper understanding of the current events on the Hill.

  • Constructed a clean energy and environmental legislation tracker to guide policy decisions for the firm and clients.

  • Served as part of the team researching the impacts of unplanned nuclear material exposure on human health in order to provide policy recommendations.
