Evan Doomes
Senior Associate
Prior to joining Waxman Strategies as a Senior Associate on the Health team, Evan worked in the Bureau of Vital Records and Statistics at the Louisiana Department of Health where he has been serving as a Govern for America Fellow in the Bureau of Vital Records and Statistics. His service occurred at one of the most critical times in history for public health, and his role was essential as he led important initiatives on COVID mortality reporting for the state. As a student, he held several internships and jobs at the intersection of health and policy, including in the U.S. House Appropriations Committee and the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. At Waxman, his portfolio covers issues of health care costs in the commercial market and in Medicare, public health, and drug pricing.
Evan earned his Bachelors of Science in Public Health in 2020 from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he also studied Political Science and Spanish. Outside of health policy, Evan’s interests include testing new recipes in the kitchen, tennis, and pop music.
