Kate Meyer
Senior Director
Kate Meyer serves as Director on the Health Team at Waxman Strategies. She advises clients on a range of prescription drug issues, including patent reform, IRA implementation, FDA policy, and more.
Kate brings more than 10 years of health policy and strategic communications experience to her work with Waxman Strategies. Her work is rooted in the belief that policy change is core to dismantling systemic racism and establishing an equitable health care system in the United States. Throughout her career, Kate has spearheaded public affairs campaigns and advised industry leaders on policy issues that impact health equity, such as the regulation of prescription drugs and reproductive health care access.
She has worked for organizations such as the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the Brookings Institution. Prior to joining Waxman Strategies, Kate served as Interim Executive Director for Girls Gotta Run Foundation. Kate earned a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Occidental College.
