D’mari Creque is the Grants and Administrative Senior Associate at Waxman Strategies. In his role, D’mari supports the Environment Practice with grants management, compliance and reporting for their diverse portfolio of environmental clients and funders. He works closely with the Director of Finance and Compliance, while also maintaining positive relationships with other staff, funder contacts, and other external organizations.
Prior to joining Waxman Strategies, D’mari worked for the Council of Chief State School Officers, where he started out as an Accountant, with a focus on invoice processing, expense reporting, and sub-grant award payments. After demonstrating a willingness to do more external facing work, he then served as a Program Coordinator on their Collaboratives Team, where he led meetings of up to 750 participants, with a focus on education policy issues such as Assessment, Equity, and Information Management. He also served as a member of CCSSO’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, where he assisted with forming internal definitions and addressing inequities in employment practices.
D’mari has experience in multiple subject areas, including Computer Engineering, Music, Accounting, and Education Policy. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Management Studies with a focus on Public Policy and a minor in Diversity Awareness from University of Maryland, Global Campus.Our Team
