If Republicans succeed in passing this legislation, Trumpcare would abandon the federal government’s 52-year responsibility to guarantee healthcare for those unable to afford it on their own. Henry highlights that we have a moral obligation to protect the well-being of children and that this bill’s drastic cuts to Medicaid funding would fundamentally change the long-standing, successful program for working families, children, people with disabilities and the low-income elderly.
