Stephanie Benedict is a Senior Account Executive at Waxman Strategies. She brings a dynamic mix of experience in both international government relations and political campaign press to the firm’s communications campaigns in the technology and healthcare.
Stephanie joins Team Waxman from Hillary for America, where she served as the lead press fellow in four primary campaigns, including the critical battleground state of Nevada. Stephanie’s detailed writing, effective pitch strategy, and strategic press relationships helped secure consistent earned media coverage leading up to key primary victories for Hillary Clinton.
Prior to joining the campaign, Stephanie was a member of the internationally renowned China practice at the Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategy firm led by Madeleine Albright, Carlos Gutierrez, and the late Sandy Berger. Stephanie coordinated the team’s work across 20+ clients and nearly as many time zones to deliver government relations and crisis management strategies to Fortune 500 clients.
Stephanie is also an accomplished writer and researcher. She served as the research and editorial assistant for The New Democrats and the Return to Power, the basis for the 2016 documentary film “Crashing the Party.” Stephanie’s own thesis paper, “Press Freedom in the European Union and Candidate Countries: A New Regional Reality,” was published by the European Union Center of California in 2012.
Stephanie earned a B.A. with honors from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University.
