Shannon Lee is a Director in the technology practice at Waxman Strategies.
Shannon specializes in integrated marketing and public relations. In her career, she has represented clients in various industries that include: corporate communications, lifestyle, travel and tourism, consumer, public affairs, energy, technology, sports, startups and cybersecurity. She offers her expertise in traditional and digital PR, content generation, analytics, social media, corporate responsibility, crisis communications and media relations.
Prior to joining the Waxman team, Shannon built her career starting at Edelman working on a range of Fortune 500 companies and associations in their Energy and Transportation sector. After leaving Edelman, she joined the cybersecurity PR practice at Merritt Group before taking on consumer and lifestyle integrated marketing at Buffalo.Agency. Shannon most recently moved back to the DC area from San Francisco where she was a PR manager for SSPR with a focus on client and media relations in the technology space.
Her client work has ranged from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, such as VW, Wal-Mart, NFLPA, MACH37, Arccos, Wandera and Deloitte. She has secured placements and ghost-written bylines/editorials in both top tier business and trade publications, including the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Washington Post, The Huffington Post, TIME and Forbes.
Shannon holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and a B.A. in Sociology both from the University of Maryland.
