Liviya James

Associate

Liviya is an Associate at Waxman Strategies. In this role, she conducts research to support the efforts of our environment practice and assists with the development and dissemination of media materials.

Before joining Waxman Strategies, Liviya served as a Research Intern at The Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress (CSPC), a non-partisan organization that works with leading experts on presidential and congressional history to provide engaging case studies on political leadership, legislative compromise, and national strategy. In this role, Liviya engaged in research on small business acquisition and autonomous vehicles policy to support CSPC projects.

A proud California native with a passion for public policy, Liviya has been actively involved in California state politics. She previously interned for the Kamala Harris for U.S. Senate and Henry Stern for State Senate campaigns where she assisted in fundraising and communications activities.

Liviya graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles where she majored in Political Science and minored in Environmental Studies. During her time at UCLA, Liviya served as the President of the Gamma Xi chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
